Hello all,
Is anyone familiar with NT/Windows authentication for users who log into Ellipse? We want the users to be able to authenticate via the PDC instead of authenticating via the UNIX server where the Ellipse application is installed? If this can work, does anyone know which files in Ellipse need to be tweaked? Sorry if this sounds quite cryptic, but any advice would be appreciated. And if more information is needed, I'll gladly supply.

If you have Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 server then you can turn on Active Directory and use LDAP.

Both CICS and Tuxedo based Ellipse systems support authentication via LDAP.

LDAP configuration is covered (lightly) in the Ellipse Technical documentation.

You may find it easier to raise a information request with Mincom, they will supply you with instructions / direct you to the manual pages you need to read.
