Authenticating Users VIA NDS LDAP?

I work in a primary Novell environment that is using Windows 2000 server (IIS 5.0) as its web server. The server is set as a member server and is not part of any AD schema (domain). The web master wants to be able to give students the ability to view their marks via the interent. Is there a way I can have the IIS server talk to the NDS LDAP servers to authenticate users? What settings/programs would I require on the Windows 2000 server to get IIS to communicate with the NDS LDAP server?

The IIS server is also being driven by Cold Fusion server.

1. Do I need to install eDirectory on the Windows 2000 server?
2. Is Cold Fusion Server LDAP able to talk to Novell NDS LDAP?

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated......

We are using a mixed netware environment.

we have 4.11 servers (latest patches installed)
we have 5.1 servers latest patches installed

We are using the latest version of NDS on the 5.1 servers. The LDAP servers / Groups are installed on the 5.1 servers (we have two - 1 in each of the two containers we use [one container for staff and one container for students])

Cold Fusion is able to use as User Directories an LDAP server. Try to use. Did you try?
Novell LDAP is a standard LDAP server. As I know should work with any application that it is using LDAP.

Also, on Novell site, developer section, you can find some tricks how to use direct access to NDS. There are some VB samples, and also some ASP examples.
