Hi there,

After i upgraded all of our 30 Novell Netware 5.1 servers with NW51SP5 i got the folowing problem with some servers.

Every saterday an autopurge and unatented DSREPAIR is running scheduled by CRONTAB.
But after the upgrade to revision 05, some of the servers are getting abends.
It seems that the server wants you to authenticate when CRONTAB is activating the scheduled commands.
It looks like that the scheduled commands cannot authenticate themselfes causing the abends.

I was wondering if someone else on this board has had this problem and if there is a solution to it.

Many THNX in advance and greetings from the Netherlands.

Below is a piece of the abend.log

What version of TOOLBOX.NLM are you running? -----------------------------------------------------
"It's true, its damn true!"
-----------------------------------------------------

Version 2.15 of TOOLBOX.NLM is currently running.

You will probably find that TOOLBOX.NLM was updated as part of your SP install. In my experience, the newer versions of TOOLBOX always cause problems which is why we are currently running v1.09d on all of our servers.

If you chose the backup files option when you installed the SP, see if you can find and regress TOOLBOX.NLM to it's previous version. -----------------------------------------------------

Yo ladman

I`ve copied version 1.09d of toolbox to the system directory of a server that had the problem.

And...... Yes.... it worked.
No authentication is required anymore...

But i think i will miss some funtions with this older version...??

Anyway much thnx for your help
and greetings from the Netherlands
