Hello,

i have a problem with 2 W2K Computer.
When I start the Backup from the Networker-Server the
Backup failed (message auth nsrexec)
DNS resolution is O.K. rpcinfo is O.K.

When I start the Backup from the client it is O.K.

Thanks for your help

So the only difference is that the client does not allow the NW server to access this machine.
- Add your NW servers name to ..\nsr\res\servers on the
NW client
- Restart nsrexecd (the Remote Exec Service) on the client
- If it still fails, run
savegrp -v -G group_name
on the NW server. This should give you more info.

the entry in the servers file is O.K.
I think the NW-Server has the problem to connect the
client
Manual-Backups from the Client to the NW-Server are running

Well, as i said, run the savegrp command and look at the output. But just use a very small save set.

Another good source is the server's daemon.log file.

Hi

I had this problem before. If your server is a Compaq, and your NIC is a 6xxx, you'd probably need to check the drivers for that NIC. Go to the latest drivers and that's it.

This is posted in Legato's Web page.
