Hi, hoping someone can provide some guidance. Need employees to enter a client code before allowing them to call long distance. Want that code to show up in smdr traffic along with the extension it was dialed from. Not sure if I should be going the account code or auth code route. If I read correctly , it looks like I would need a separate server if I use auth codes?

!Not sure where "separate server" comes from but we'll ignore that.

If the user is making calls from their own extension then accounts codes are just fine and probably what you want.

Authorisations codes is more to do with allowing a person to override the call restrictions applied to a phones normal user (for example use a phone in a public area of the office to make international calls without having to go the whole hog of logging onto that phone and logging off afterwards).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thanks, have a star! Yeah the help section was talking about needing a "delta server". I didn't understand that reference.

You will create an entry on the ARS Table for 1N and select FORCE ACCOUNT CODE.
When users dial 1N they will be prompted to enter an Account Codes.

In the Account Codes area, you will enter the code or codes you wish to use.

Thanks Rodney, you answered before I had a chance to ask lol
