Option 11 RLS 21 ISS 54 (OLD) Customer now needs to have auth codes for LD calling over 1 route. ATT does not provide auth codes on their NEW IPFlex product. Can we only have auth codes for 1 route? Also cannot find SPWD in CDB to use in LD 88. Thank you

Auth Codes are based on BARS Route Lists, so the way you set up your Route Lists will determine if an Auth Code is required on one or all of the "Entries" (routes)

If you do not know your SPWD, you just enter a new one in LD15 while logged in as password 2 - the second level password.

OK great.

Could you briefly give the steps involved to build the Auth table and codes? LD 88, LD 16, etc..

Also I guess the phones are restricted by NCOS level, then if they try to make a LD call it will give them stutter dial tone then they enter their AUTH code.

Thank you

The restriction comes from setting the MFRL higher than the FRL on the RLI - this gives "stutter" tone prompting the user to enter an authcode if their NCOS meets the FRL, but not the MFRL.

ld 88
prt
aub
Code:
CLAS COS TGAR NCOS CLAS COS TGAR NCOS CLAS COS TGAR NCOS

000 UNR 06 04 001 UNR 00 00 002 CTD 06 06
003 CTD 06 06 004 UNR 06 07 005 UNR 00 00

auth blocks, by class, note: my class 0 changes the set to tgar 6 ncos 4 unr

then prt your codes
Code:
CODE 000001 CLAS 000
CODE 012345 CLAS 004

if you have neither, add at least one class and one auth code.. you can have the switch generate blocks of random codes..

in ld 86 add a new rlb
Code:
REQ prt
CUST 0
FEAT rlb
RLI 2

RLI 2
ENTR 0
LTER NO
ROUT 61
TOD 0 ON 1 ON 2 ON 3 ON
     4 ON 5 ON 6 ON 7 ON
VNS NO
CNV NO
EXP NO
[COLOR=red]FRL  5[/color]
DMI 0
FCI 0
FSNI 0
SBOC NRR
IDBB DBD
IOHQ NO
OHQ NO
CBQ YES
ISET 2
NALT 5
[COLOR=red]MFRL 5[/color]
OVLL 0

your frl needs to be higher then your current normal ncos.. your mfrl gives auth tone to any user lower then (in this case) ncos 5.. so ncos 4 and below gets auth code tone..

since you added a rlb, point one npa, ld 90 change, to your new rli.. now you can test your work by dialing that single npa from any station ncos 4 or below.. all this is dependant on frl 0= ncos 0, thru 7=7

once it's tested you can change your the rlb your ld uses, turning on auth for all users ncos x and below.. back the single npa change out, out the test rlb.. take the rest of the week off

Thanks John. I don’t have any AUB table or AUTH codes built in the switch now. I'll add those...test and reply with results. Thanks for the steps.

Hey John,
I built the AUB,one AUT, one test RLI and changed a NPA to
the test RLI. When I dial the number I do get the stutter dial tone but once I enter the 4 digit auth code I get a fast busy. Here is the test RLI.

CUST 0

FEAT RLB

RLI 10

RLI 10
ENTR 0
LTER NO
ROUT 2
TOD 0 ON 1 ON 2 ON 3 ON
4 ON 5 ON 6 ON 7 ON
CNV NO
EXP NO
FRL 5
DMI 0
FCI 0
FSNI 0
CBQ NO

ISET 0
MFRL 6

If you are getting a fast busy, you might be getting that due to your feature code not being set. In my switch, the FFC is 6, so I have to 1st dial the SPRE code, then 6, then the AUTH code..

I guess my question would be, is there a way to dial an AUTH code without having to dial the SPRE-FFC?

John, I got it figured out....Thanks for your help.
