When I go to LD 88, do a prt command, I get a zillion codes. I assume these were auto generated in the past. Do I understand this right: All those codes are in the switch and are "live" so they can be used for LD calls? So when we get a new employee we just need to assign him/her one of the codes and they will be fine. When they quit or are fired, we out the code. Is this correct? There is no need to "add" a code for new employees because they are already there and live? Thanks.

I also keep a spreadsheet of Auth codes I have given out and I recycle them. When an employee leaves I mark it on my spreadsheet and then give it to the next new guy. I haven't created an auth code in a couple years.

I think auth codes are mostly there for show anyway - an employee who has to use one also thinks it is being monitored. I don't tell them that but I don't not let them think it. Managers just get TGAR and NCOS that lets them dial without using a code.
