We would like to be able to block these particular area codes from being dialed unless a code is entered first.

204,250,289,306,403,416,418,438,450,506,514,519,600,604,647,778,780,819,867,902,905 - Canada
242 - Bahamas
246 - Barbados
264 - Anguilla
268 - Antigua and Barbuda
284 - British Virgin Islands
340 - US Virgin Islands
345 - Caymand Islands
441 - Bermuda
473 - Grenada
649 - Turks & Caicos Islands
664 - Montserrat
670 - Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
671 - Guam
684 - American Samoa
758 - St. Lucia
767 - Dominica

787 - Puerto Rico
809 - Dominican Republic

939 - Puerto Rico

Let me know if this can be done. I assuming a SPRE Code can be allocated, but I am not sure for specific area codes. Whta re the steps?

Please advise. thanks!

make a new RLI and reference it with all those. Make the FRL higher than your standard NCOS for the phonesets, make the MFRL the same as the FRL.

Build your authcodes in 88 with an NCOS = to that FRL of the new route you build.

How do i build the new RLI? I think i have a past post to help me on the auth codes.

Thanks!

Auth Code Setup

First you have to log into the PBX and we need to gather all existing password data
Second, we have to build the authorization code block (CLS)
Third, we have to build the authcodes that will live in the CLS’s.
Fourth, we have to decide what to do at the set level.
Remember – to get between Loads you need to type **** (4 stars, astericks- whatever you want to call them, it’s shift and 8 four times)

1) Log into your pbx. Then do the following steps.
>LD 22
REQ: Prt
TYPE: pwd
PWD2: (this is your second level password. Chances are it is what you normally log in with so try your current password. This will print out the various passwords on your system, there should be at least 2 and you will need PWD2 so write it down)
****
>LD 21
REQ: Prt
TYPE: pwd
(type:pwd_data will pop up on screen)
CUST: 0
PWD2:
(what you are looking for here is the SPWD –secure data password. Hopefully it will be here. If there is nothing then we have to build one in Load 15 so type
****
then go to >LD 15.
REQ: Chg
TYPE: PWD
Cust: 0
SPWD: (enter 4 digits ) then enter back to REQ: . Then you can go back to LD 21 and do another print pwd to see that the 4 digits you entered are there. )

2) Now we need to go build the Authorization Code Block so type ****
(If you want to see the meaning behind each of these prompts – go to your INPUT/OUTPUT guide LD 88 and look them up)
>LD 88
REQ: New
TYPE: aub
CUST: 0
SPWD: (enter your 4 digit spwd)
ALEN: (enter how many digits long you want you want your auth codes to be – I like to use 5 )
ACDR: yes ( this is for CDR – output)
AUTHCOD_ALRM: (enter)
RANR: x (X = no RAN routes)
ACLE: (enter)
BRST: (enter)
RTRY: (enter)
CLAS: 0
COS: ctd
TGAR: 1 (1 would be a standard restriction I have seen on most of your routes; or this would be whatever your site phones need in order to make an overseas call)
NCOS: 0 (this would be whatever your site phones need in order to make an overseas call)

CLAS: (enter)
AUTO: (type YES if you want the switch to automatically generate the auth codes)
SECR: ( this is your SPWD password)
NMBR: ( how many auth codes do you want the switch to generate)
CLAS: 0
NMBR: (enter)
(The switch will go back to REQ: Now you want to print the auth code block. )
REQ: Prt
TYPE: aub
CUST: 0
SPWD: (type in your SPWD)
(This will generate all 115 auth code clas’s available. What you will be looking at is the top one on the left CLS COS TGAR NCOS CLS COS TGAR NCOS
000 CTD 1 5 001 CTD 0 0
Notice that all the other CLS’s have a TGAR and NCOS equal to 0. These are not in use.

3) Now we want to generate the auth codes for CLS 0 so stay in LD 88.
REQ: prt
TYPE: AUT
CUST: 0
SPWD: (enter your 4 digit spwd)
CODE: (enter)

The switch will now generate however many auth codes you specified in the auth code block. Remember if there are any leading zero’s – they HAVE to be used when dialing with authcodes. This should bring you back to REQ:

SO in effect you now have auth codes for auth code cls 0.
AUTH CODE BLOCK = CLS COS TGAR NCOS
000 CTD 1 5
auth codes = 01001
63134
42681. (Etc.)
Each of these auth codes under CLS 0 has a CTD, TGAR 1 and NCOS 5 class of service. Using any of these auth codes will override any telephone sets’ class of service.
To out any of these codes go to LD 88
REQ: out
TYPE: aut
CUST: 0
SPWD: (enter your spwd)
CODE: (type in the auth code you want deleted)
CODE: (enter)
And you should be back at REQ:.

4) Each set probably has a AUTU in the class of service. This is the default value. This means that this TN can use any auth code to dial out. So for any set you can pick up the handset, dial the auth code access code, auth code, then the number as normal.
If you want to set up specific auth codes for specific sets do the following.
****
>LD 20
REQ: Prt
TYPE: DNB
CUST: 0
DN: (enter the 4 digit extension in which you trying to change)

DATE: (enter)
PAGE: (enter)
DES: (enter)

TN 006 0 00 00 KEY 01 DES TEST 1 JUN 2001
(2016)
TN 006 0 00 01 KEY 00 MARP DES 1A612 3 JAN 2001
(2616)

The switch will print out the TN block for each DN. A single DN may be on more than one TN like in the example above. There are 2 TN’s for this extension, TN 6 0 0 0 . The DES is the jack number(in this case test) and the date it was last changed was 1 JUN 2001. The type of phone it is is directly under the TN in parenthesis – a 2016 type set. The SECOND TN is TN 6-0-0-1. It is the MAIN TN (hence MARP is out next to it) , the DES is jack number 1A612, and the date it was last changed was 2 JAN 2001. The type of phone it is is directly under the TN in parenthesis – a 2616 type set.
You generally want the TN with MARP out to the side. If you are not sure you can go into your MAT program and see if you have the correct TN.

Now you want to change the main TN.
REQ: CHG
TYPE: 2616 (enter in the type of set – remember it is in parenthesis under the TN)
TN: 6 0 0 1
ECHG: NO
(enter down to CLS)
CLS AUTR (AUTR is auth code restricted and you would define which auth codes this set will be able to use. You can put AUTD which is auth code denied and this set will NOT be able to use ANY authcodes at all.)
MAUT : YES (this will allow you to assign or modify authcodes for this telephone)
SPWD: (enter 4 digit spwd)
AUTH: x nnnn (x is the range of auth codes (how many) and nnnn is the assigned auth code)
( to delete an auth code use an upper case X in front of auth code)
(enter the rest of the way through this back to REQ

prt the ones you have in ld 86.
ld 90 - look at common RLI for NPA
86 look at which route is referenced in the common RLI
do a new rlb RLI XXX you pick it
use same route as common for entry 0
at FRL - higher than normal 5?6? you have to know or research.
MFRL 7 (or just higher than frl, this allows for studder tone authcode entry)

make all those npa's in question use your new rli in ld 90.

have done the following for prep work for the Auth block below. Please check my work:

1) Prt the ones I have in LD 86.
2) Ld 90 - look at common RLI for NPA
3)86 look at which route is referenced in the common RLI – Rout 6 is what is referenced
4) Do a new rlb RLI XXX you pick it – I picked RLI 44 and ROUT 13
5) Use same route as common for entry 0 – the common Route I see on these area codes now is 6, but confused as to what you mean using what route (?) for entry 0-what do you mean by this?
6) At FRL - higher than normal 5? 6? You have to know or research. I made it 6
7) MFRL 7 (or just higher than frl, this allows for studder tone authcode entry) and MFRL 7

8) Then I make all those npa's in question use your new rli in LD 90. I am on this step-Please confirm that the above (steps 1-7) are correct before I proceed.

route 6 is what you use, if most of the npa's are using it now
rli 44
entry 0
route 6
FRL 6
mfrl 7

ldd 90
chg
npa
npa 1204
rli 44
