I am writing a program for a repair company and there is a memo field on one of the forms where the diagnosis for the repair is listed. These are often very long and involved which is why a memo is needeed, but they consistently have generic short messages such as "Check and Adjust." I would like to know if anyone has a way of allowing a memo field to autocomplete when commonly used messages are starting to be entered, such as the first few letters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

I could see a ListBox next to the memo field that starts out with nothing selected. If the user wants to select a commonly used item to fill automatically they just select it. It will immediately append whatever description you want to be pasted at the end of the memo field as it exists at the time.

A listbox, combobox, or an Option group could be used for this purpose. The option group would be limited to a smaller group of canned statements/descriptions.

Let me know if you want assistance setting this up.
