Hi all,

We're running Audix R5.0-63 and have a mailbox set up that apparently forwards incoming faxs to one of our exchange email addresses (I can see this as in the properties of the Fax email it shows audix.ourdomain.com as the sending server).

I've looked through the Audix menu and although I can find internet mail properties and network settings, I can't find where the subsciber mailbox could be setup to forward to this person's email address. Also, googling manuals just doesn't seem to bring anything up.

Sorry, I seem to be bombarding this forum at the moment, but you guys/gals haven't let me down thus far :) Thanks kindly in advance.

try the add sub or chan sub screen to define the email name for that sub typically in the format name@localhost.localdomain. then under Feature Admin / Internet Messaging you can define the domain and host using General Options and Settings and Mail Options respectively.

I have only got this working on Audix LX using POP3
Make sure the POP3 service is running in the internet messaging options

then add is a POP3 account onto the users Microsoft outlook under accounts.

the account is normally the extension number and the password is the audix mailbox password, the POP3 server is the Audix.
The outlook client then queries the Audix server and pulls the mail.
I have never got the Audix to send the mail, its a very cheap and cheerful solution but it works.
I hope this helps

Any updates in here? I have the same problem on trying to enable Internet Messaging in Audix LX R1.1.

Each time I'm sending Mail Delivery Test, the error is 'Sub Login Failed'

the email settings would be in that users oulook pop3 account, not in the intuity.

Ok just bear with me for the details, I have limited experience on mail servers . From Outlook Express I've set-up the ffg:

Server -> Incoming mail (POP3) = 192.168.100.16 (this is my audix)

Account = 6000 (this is my extension)
Password = 12345678 (this is my voicemail password)

When I try to retrieve mails, it says my password is rejected. What am I missing here? I can ping the audix server, so we can say that the connection is a-OK.

Thanks.

Hi,

I've managed to get this working and it is Outlook POPing to the server and not the server forwarding to the mailbox (was a piece of cake once I started looking in the right direction!)

Hummer, as long as the POP3 server is properly configured on your Audix box, the config you've described here should work. Are you able to log onto Audix from your station with these details ?

Yes I am. I can check my VM using my phone with that password. Under Audix -> Internet Messaging, I tried to test my POP3 connection and it is working:
Code:
 POP3 Connection Test Results

Trying notessvr.xxx-yyy.com ...
---> +OK Lotus Notes POP3 server version X2.0 ready <0065B525.8825737C.00000B44.0000001D@notessvr/xxx-zzzicert/us> on notessvr/xxx-yy<--- QUIT
---> +OK Lotus Notes POP3 server signing off.

But under Test -> Mail Delivery, I'm getting this "Subscriber Log-in failed"? Any thoughts?

I found the problem. On the Audix sub form, I replaced the COS and make it support e-mail. Now it's working perfectly.
