We just turn up a new location where they had modular messaging before, and now they have Audix as they are on another phone system now. When the employee press’s their voice mail button on the desk phone the Audix does not recognize their station and they are asked to manually enter in their station. Whereas MM did recognize their stations.
Has anyone run across this or figured out a work around. I was told once they press the VM button to press either a single # sign or a double # sign, neither of these worked.
Trying to cover all ends before I have to tell them the Audix is older and does not have this capability

Thank you in advance

what is the connectivity that you have for the data link between the phone system and Intuity, x.25 or C-LAN?

If the system is properly integrated you can press the pound sign at the extension request followed by the password and another pound sign. The station should be recognized but it is just the way the INTUITY integration operates. It's like confirming this is actually my extension and what I want to use.

ok i will give it a try thank you I will let you know

had the rep try what you proposed and after he did it, it asked again for their extension. :(

If it comes up with the main system prompt and not the extension number/name or personal greeting then there is an integration issue.
Usually ths is down to either public unknown or the private uknown tables not having the extensionleading digit and length inserted.

If you have proved the integration works , by incoming calls reaching the voicemail and hearing the users greeting correclty and the issue is only when you are trying to access .If so you can program the voicemail access button to include just a # or indeed the #password# to drop the user straight into thier vmail box without having to push anything other than 1 button , this does raise security issues though and should not be recommended.

I'm of the opinion you need to re-examine all your translations. You've not established "transparency" in order for the integration to work properly.

I can't remember Audix CLAN integration using the public numbering/private numbering plan, unless this PBX is routing the calls to a remote AUDIX on a non-DCS'd tandem trunk.

Go get this document and start at the beginning and check your translations all the way through. Look in both systems and make sure your PBX channels match your AUDIX channels exactly. The call needs to show up on the proper channel that the CLAN is telling the AUDIX to process.

After reading this and checking your translations, copy and paste your setup.

Do you know how to monitor the channels in Audix while you call the individual channels on the PBX side?

The Audix is at our home office so it is hard for me to verify a lot of what you are asking. Great info I have documented it and I am sending it off to them....but it seems to be working with manipulation.
I think I can do it via abbreviated dialing as I have an ip soft phone I am testing with and I can get it to manually work sometimes.
I put an autodial button on my soft phone it dials the Audix access extension ”xxxxxxx” I get the main menu then on the auto dial button I added to the end #statnumber# . I hear the main menu breaking up and then I hear enter password and pound. Is there a way to possible put in a pause between dialing the Audix extension and the #stat number #.
Still trying to fudge this, there has to be a way, I have one senior exec that is insistent on having this work.

Thank you for all you help and suggestions

when you say 'another phone system', what phone system is it?

every thing is Avaya ---they were on our local Avaya PBX with Modular messaging and now have been put on the home office Avaya pbx with audix. the EPN they were put on is all new. the home office is running Avaya 5.5
