Hi, I am trying to integrate a Intuity Velocity Rel 5.1 to a Definity ACM 2.0 . The switch can ping the gateway and other machiines on the network but not the Intuity. Likewise from the Intuity side it can oing everything except the Intuity. Any ideas, has anyone else run into this? Any help would be great.

Are you saying you cant ping the intuity from the intuity.

Do you have the right address you are trying to ping.

If you are saying you cant ping the intuity to pbx, are you using the right type of cable. Cross over verses straight thru.

Check your address in the intuity box first. Then make sure your cable is correct. If you are going thru your network then a straight thru cable is used. If you are connecting directly to the box use a cross over cable.

Sorry I thought you were trying to connect to a pbx, disregard my prev message.

Is the c lan link up and running going to the Intuity from the pbx?

I am trying to connect the pbx and the intuity. I haven't tried the cross over cable yet. I will try today. The link is up and idle.

So then if you are connecting it straigt to the pbx you will need a x over cable.

Currently I have a crossover cable between the 2. the link lights are on on both but no info passing.

Have you rebooted the Itnuity after you enabled the ip settings?

In the future everything will work...

On the switch, do you see Active Channels = 1 when you status the link?
Also did you tell the Intuity what type of integration, i.e. Def OverLAN?

Also, sometimes the C-Lan card needs resetting before it will talk to the Intuity! Just pull the card and reseat it.

Matt

You could put the clan card do auto-negotiate and let it negotiate with the intuity to see what it comes up as. Also make sure you have an ethernet data module built and the ip-interface screen shows the board is enabled. Also you could trying forcing the ping out that board, ie. ping ip 192.168.10.1 board 1a06; where the ip address is you're intuity.
