I am having an interesting intermittant problem happening with my Audix.
Running a Definity ECS G3 V 11 running a non-integrated Audix of 3.2.42.
The problem is that ever so often (been happening around once per week), we are getting busied out of Audix. Happens for about 10 minutes and then everything is fine. At first I blamed it on our network but now I think its something inside the Definity.
When the problem is happening, I can call into the individual analog Audix extensions. However when I call the hunt group extension number, I get the busy signal.
We currently have a 12 port Audix system and I have verified that all 12 ports are not in use.
Example. We have a hunt group for Audix which is Hunt Group 878. In that hunt group there are 12 extensions of 101,102,103,,,,112. If I call 878, I will get a busy tone however when calling one of the 101 - 112 extensions, I will get a "your call is being answered by Audix."
I have found out that at least yesterday at the time of the last error, the Definity displayed an error on one of our CLAN cards. Errors 2314, 1538, 3329 were being displayed and the system ran a test on the CLAN card at that time. I actually watched it do it. After the successful reset of the card, the problem went away. Unfortunately I do not have the other times of the other errors however I cannot see the same type of CLAN error.
Our Definity and Audix are plugged directly into our core with new Cisco switches. Talking to my network administrator, there were no network issues which could have caused any congestion.
I have looked at the CLAN boards that are installed (all are DP with Firmware 9) and two are set to 10mb half duplex but one is set to auto at 100mb, full duplex. Wondering if changing the other two CLAN cards to 100mb may help.
Unfortunately I have only had the system installed since October and while I have attended a few classes, Audix is not one of them. However seeing the errors coinciding with the problem lends me to believe it has something to do with the CLAN card or the network connection.
During the last error I tried to connect to ASA via the network and had a very laggy experience. It actually timed out. Not sure if this had anything to do with the problem or if it was because of the CLAN reseting itself.
Has anybody out there seen something like this before or can offer any assistance of what maybe causing this?
We have one spare CLAN board and another one is being used to connect to a remote CMS server. When this problem is happening I have not seen a degradation of service.
Any help would be appreciated!!!
