Well I wouldn't want to do this actually. But it is being asked of me to save the cost of some of the administration of the accounts, such as password reset, by automating it.
I really don't see how it's possible either, but I was wondering if there was something out there that could do it.
I don't know any way to this, but I have a suggestion that might help.
A couple years ago, we had to change extensions (and vm-boxes) for about 250 users. Every user kept their vm-box, and had to log in using their new extension plus their old password. Of course, we expected lots of requests to reset passwords. To reduce this, we just let people have a couple extra chances to log in wrong, and it worked great. Here's how:
1) You will probably have to log in with "sa"
2) Use "change system-parameters features" ("ch sy fe"
3) Change "Consecutive Invalid Attempts"
We upped this from 3 to 6. After the move, we just decided to leave it that way. It has helped a lot with the fat-finger problem, and imo doesn't impact security significantly. At this time, I think we only have to reset a password 2 or 3 times a month.
