We have an Audiocodes MP118-FXS programmed and working on an Avaya switch that we'll be decommissioning shortly. Can we move it over to the Mitel and if so how? Or will we have to use the TA7102s?

Thanks!

The MP series works fine with Mitel, I've got about 2 dozen of them on my system. Mitel KMS has config guides under KMS article HO688.

Found the doc, thanks! We'll give it a whirl.

Can't get the ports to register, we've confirmed settings a couple times now. We can ping between Audiocodes and Mitel.
Thoughts on what else to check?

Thanks!

There's several places where it looks like you could put the authentication information in the AudioCodes, but the only place I have it programmed on mine is in Configuration -> VoIP -> GW and IP to IP -> Analog Gateway -> Authentication. Password field there needs to match SIP Password field for the extension in the MiVB. If that still isn't working, look at the message log in the AudioCodes and see what error you're getting on the authentication attempts.

We have the passwords correct.
We rebooted it in hopes to get it to register, but now I don't see anything in the log, it just says Log is Activated. Prior to reboot, there was lots of scrolling info in there.
It took a while but the log info magically appeared, very weird.

Not sure what to look for, I see the extension, and I even see REGISTER in the messaging,

Thanks!

is the mitel in the same subnet as the avaya
might be a firewall (port) issue

for sip registration issues packet captures are the most helpful
ssh to mivb and start a rolling capture
tcpdump -i any -s 0 -C 50 -W 50 -w /tmp/capture.pcap &

try a few registrations , then killall tcpdump on the mivb

then use winscp to retrieve the file from /tmp

if its not reaching the MIVB you wont see the sip registration attemp
if its an authentication issue it will tell you in the trace

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
