Has anyone worked with Audio over Ethernet for radio station remote broadcasts? Getting an ISDN (BRI) put in seems to no longer be an option and we have some stations wanting to do broadcasts coming next month and I'm looking for other options to give our Marketing department.

Respectfully.

SIP/RTP protocols come to mind. But there are plenty of internet streaming audio applications out there. Best bet is to find a broadcast engineering forum. Those guys will have some answers for you as I imagine you need a turnkey solution that's more or less plug-and-play.

cheap way, not I'm sure the best way, but look at valcom VIP solutions, one unit receives the audio and xmits over network to receiving unit that translates to whatever its meant to do.
