Had a IPO that was at R10.0.0.3 upgraded them to R11.4.13 which is a patch release because of upgrade issues. The 9608 phones went from firmware 6.6.401 to 6.8.02. This introduced Audio problems on thier headsets, echo, static and low volume. I then downloaded the latest firmware 6.8.3 and it fixed it a little but they still have issues with the headsets. The headsets are Plantronics CO52 and they talked to them for the correct settings on the headsets.
My thought is to downgrade the 9608 phones back to the 6.6.401 firmware and see if that will fix it but I wanted to see if anyone has any other thoughts before doing that.

Hi there, I had the same issue where the last few releases upgraded to 6.8002, I logged a case with Avaya and they supplied me software version 6.8102 and this sorted out the issue immediately after the handsets upgraded.

Funny thing is after they gave me this 11.0.4.1.0 Build 11 came out and it had the same 6.8002 on it, so I still have to manually copy the software over.

So ask them for that version it does work.

Cheers

That release is still one the website so I will download it and test.

or just change the firmware files to an older version in the primary folder and amend the upgrade.txt file to suit.

# 9608SW
IF $HWVERS SEQ 3 GOTO 9608GBSW
SET RFSNAME S96x1_UKR_V27r20_V27r20.tar

# 9608GBSW

replace the 9608 firmware with
S96x1_UKR_V27r20_V27r20.tar
S9608_11_HALKRR6_6_4_01.bin
S9608_11HALBR6_6_4_01_V474.tar

takes two mins and you won't have to drop the system

there is a patch out for the headset ports on the 9600 phones for that release.

It will put your phones on (I think) 6.8.20 and fixes it.

you have to get the fix from Avaya I am afraid.
reference the following number PSN020399u

Here is the link to the firmware on my google drive

I leave it up for a couple of weeks then take it down before Avaya kicks me at the shin for publishing their fixes.

Anyone experienced the same audio issues on the J series phones on this release and/or know if there is a patched firmware for them?
