Audio always opening with real player. I want to use windows media!

I've got both real player and windows media 10 on my pc. It's just been installed, when i put in a cd in came up with a menu of what i wanted to do. I seleceted open with real player then ticked always do this. How do i get that menu back?

I also tried associating .cda to windows media player but that didn't work.

In Realplayer---Tools>preferences scroll down to Content>Media Types UNcheck the CD box. Make sure the "Windows Media" box is UNchecked also, otherwise RP will play WMP in RP. Then you'll need to make sure that the WMP settings are set for your personal preferences. Also, if the MP3 box is checked on RP and you play a CD or any MP3 songs on your box with MP3 on it, RP will open. You can make WMP the default player by checking that option. I really dislike the Real Player for a variety of reasons. Mike Lin's start up monitor continues to block RP spyware. I'm getting RP cookies all the time. So I'm looking for a decent, non-spyware media player or maybe a stand alone MP3/CD player.

Try UNchecking Real Player as the default player. I have WMP 7.1 on my old Aptiva along with RP. I have WMP movies and MPEG opening on the WMP and MP3 with the Real Player along with RP movies. Go though the list and see what options are checked on both RP and WMP. You should be able to defeat the RP from playing the CD's.

The options are fine in both. It must be somewhere in windows i need to get that menu up that used to come up. For example if i put in a cd with jpg's on the menu will come up and ask me if i want to view the pictures. What i'll do is just unsintall real player then reinstall it. I was trying to find out if anyone knew how to get the menu pop up back.
