If I create a report with only an attribute on it (i.e. Company) and add a filter to the report that is for one company (i.e. Johnny Lightening's Kayac's), the report shows only Johnhy Lightening's, which is what I expect. Then I add a metric to the report, and looking at the SQL, I see that the filter condition has gone away? Any clues?

Thanks for your input.

looks more like a bug. create the report in the reverse order, put attribute and metric. then add filter.

also make sure your metric is not a filtered metric with properties set to ignore the report filter.

nlim,

You hit the nail right on the head. I set the filter properties of the metric to 'Merge report filter into metric'

Thanks,
