Hi,

I've a problem with the attenuation/amplification signals of analog extensions.

FIRST i changed the trm for an extension 2000(excac :dir=2000, trm=1;).
THEN i made some changes on trm matrix (sacos: unit=SACOS:UNIT=SCP, LIM=4,SECTOR=REL, ADDR=51&59,DATA=12;) i choose lim=4 because the extension 2000 is in lim 4.
THEN i attenuate the signal with lsati:lim=4,law=a,aval=12+99);

i made a call from extension 1000 which has trm=0. RESULT: NO CHANGE!!! i can hear very good and even when i made lscop : equ = equ of extension 2000, i've attn=2

normaly i would have attn=12, but this is not the case!!!!

please help me to find where the problem is??

thanks!

If you are using BC13 SP4 or later, it seems to me that you have changed the values for connections from trm=0 to trm=0 and from trm=0 to trm = 8 with your SACOS command.(The matrix is now 24X24) Thereby having no effect on trm=1 connections.

hi himdp and thank you for responding me

we are using a TSW SP06

Wich are the adress having the effetc on trm=0 to trm=1 and from trm=1 to trm=0.
i've choosed addr = 51&59. but i'm afraid this was wrong.

As mentioned, the matrix is 24X24 starting at 0x51 (trm=0 to trm-0) so the adress you need for trm=0 to trm=1 will therefore be 0x52. For trm=1 to trm=0 you must add 24 (0x18) to the start of the table which gives 0x69.

Why are you doing this anyway?

yes the addres you gave me are the good ones, but still another problem when i make a call from another lim (we have a multi lim system) lscop still give me attn=2, i think this is because the call come fom the gjul card and i don't know which trm is affected to the pcm link gjul!!!

so wich addres affect the gjul transmission level?

There is no trm for G/S links, it is a 0dB point. My guess is that the call is using the SCP values in the originating LIM. Have you tried a call from LIM 4 to another LIM? Still interested to know the purpose of this exercise.

Yes I've tried a call from the lim 4 (the calling number is 2000) to an extension in another lim but still have attn =2.

The purpose is to know how to raise the level of the voice signal for some extensions wich are far fro the TSW System (The distance between the party and the PBX is over than 3Km).

Then why all the nonsense with LSATI? You are adding 99dB attenuation both ways.

There are already values to add gains of 3dB (1) and 6dB (0) You can confirm this with LSATP. (Gain is shown as a negative attenuation) but you must be careful with stability; too much gain can result in echo or feedback when using 2 wire interfaces.

As to why the LSCOP is stll showing as 2 I cannot tell; assuming that you have made the SACOS commands and it is working OK within the LIM (LIM 4).
Confirm the TRM values of the two extensions involved and print the LSCOP for both LIMs.
