I have an attendant console who would like other 6400 series phones to ring at the same time as the console on incoming calls. Anybody have any ideas? THanks

You need to set up a feature access code for TAAS, put it into your system abbreviated dial form.Program an ATD-qcalls key on the 6400 set and the abbreviated dial which can lable as "answer". Once you do that incoming calls will beep at the 6400 set and can be picked up using the answer key, as long as the Console is busy on an active call already. If you want it to work on the first call, yoy have to add the same keys to the Console & leave the console in Pos busy, then use the answer key to answer calls on the console as well. You have program attendnat backup into the Console Parameters form.

I believe that changing the Calls In Queue warning on the console parameter page to 1 will also allow your 6400 series user to pick up the first call. This way you don't have to map atd-qcall or TAAS buttons to the operator position, as well not having to leave it in position busy.

Actually it doesn't, you cana make it so more than one call is queued before the back up set rings, but you can't have it ring on the first call to an idel consoel unless the Pos Busy key is on.
