I appologize for the lack of experience I have. I'm still learning. This system is also in a different state, so I cannot look at any wiring.

When callers zero out of audix, they reach the attendant (ext 5000). When there is no receptionist and the attd console is set to night service, the phone rings 9 times before it goes to the night bell. To answer the night bell, the users press #6 which is the TAAS code.

Here are the questions I would like help with:

1. How do I find-out the extension of my night bell? There doesn't seem to be any reference to a nightbell ext in list extens. Night service on all trunks is set to attd.

2. How do I change the number of rings after a call zeroes out of audix until they get to the nightbell?

System in question:

Definity G3siV11 R11i.02.0.110.4
Audix R4.0, Issue 2

Thank you in advance for any help.

The night bell is on the CONSOLE PERAMETERS screen.

EXT ALERT PORT (TAAS)

I am not sure on the number of rings. My guess is it is the ALERTING field. This field defines the time that an unanswered call rings on a console before going some place else. You might try making your zero out destination ATTD or 0 instead of the hard extension of 5000. I think this will make the call go to the night bell right away when the console is in night service. I have never had a site with a night bell so I have not played with this one.

If u are using a audix system u can't have the zero out destination to be '0'. U have to use the 'listed directory number' or something else that leads to the attdt, but not the attdts extension if it is a 302 type of console.

Da-vi'do
