Having a problem with attendant not being able to transfer calls to external numbers. Outside call comes in to call-appear attendant answers call. Then accesses outside line and the incoming call is dropped. There is no transfer button on the attendant console. I am able to transfer an outside call from my ext. to a outside number. Per lucent documentation the :
The call comes in
1. Press lighted call-appearance button
2. Greet caller
3. Access outside line by pressing button
4. dial phone number
5.press Release.

But like a said before as soon as the attendant pick up an outside line the incoming call is dropped.

I looked at my COR and the attendant COR, the only thing different b/w mine and theirs is:
Can be pickup by Direct call PU: N
Can use Directed Call PU: N

Is their another button attendant should use to transfer a call that is not listed?

look at your COS check to see if the trk-to-trk override is "y" for the attd. COS

I thought about that reading other forums. Attendant is set to N and mine is Y. If I change that, will that keep them from hanging up on the incoming caller when they choose an external line?
Right now they can place a external call.
It is just if they have an incoming call then try to place an external it cuts off the incoming caller.

That should fix the problem, with trk to trk set to "n" means they cannot take a call from one trunk and put it on another trunk. (its a potenial toll fraud issue)

The other responses are important to look at, but it sounds like you are not using the "START" button. This button is like a transfer button. 1)Select the line appearance to answer the caller. 2)Press the "START" button (This should put the caller on hold and present your attendant with dial tone).3)Dial 9 and the number.4)Either hit "RELEASE" to blind transfer the call or wait for the called party to answer to announce the call then hit "RELEASE". If all your COS/COR settings are right, this should get you there.

Thanks for the help guys the start button was the issue on the console.
