I have a Definity GS3 with an attendant console type 302. How can I have the operator direct calls straight to a users voicemail (Intuity)?

Thnx.

There is a transfer to VM fac enabled, but console cannot "transfer". I need the operator to field a call and have the ability to send calls directly to users VM without having to send call to the station for the obligatory rings before hunting to VM cover.

Is there any way to do this with this attendant console?

You can always use the guest password feature in Audix. Have your operator transfer the call to Audix by dialing your "Welcome to Audix" extension, enter the user's extension number, followed by the guest password, at this point have your operator release the call, Audix will respond by saying "Please leave a message for...

I am not familiar with the guest password feature, is this set up through Intuity?

Yes. Look in your Intuity system parameters features, page 1.

Have the operator dial to the station then press a 'go to cover' button that u put on her console. Then it will go down the cover path to audix.
Guess password will work, but takes too long to do.
'transfer to audix' feature only works if operator is in the cover path of the station called and also receives that call from that cover path.

P.S. A message to all,if you want to get the best response to a question, please read FAQ222-2244 first. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx system & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Be aware that if u don't answer a question, I usually will not continue to help u.

Here is how I would do it.

Set up an express messaging mailbox & transfer calls to it.

Here's how:

Establish a new auto attendant type mailbox with the auto attendant COS. Type "auto-attendant".

On Page 3:

Enter an "e" in the rows corresponding to any digit your number plan starts with (eg 2 for 2xxx extensions) under the extension column and call-transfer next to it under the treatment column. Next to zero & timeout enter 0 under the extension column & transfer under the treatment column.

Set up an x port in the switch corresponding to the extension of this mailbox covering immediately to the VM huntgroup.

Program this extension into a system abbreviated dial

Program this abbreviated dial onto a spare console key

The attendant can now press that console key enter the destination mailbox when Audix answers & complete the transfer.

If you dont' understand email & I'll send you some excel sheets with an example.

One other thing:

Actually with this method, I dont' believe she even has to wait for audix to answer, I think entering the destination mailbox after pressing the key & blind transferring works. Not 100% sure on that one.

I wish this forum allowed for editing your posts. I realize I made a typo in my original post 2 above this one. I refer to "call-transfer" under the treatment columns. I mean't "Call-answer".

Look at the Display Feature page
and look for the Transfer to Voice Mail Access Code:
