Attachments Vanish

just upgraded to office 2002 and we have a few problems with attachents. first is with HTML when you open the mail with the attachments, the attachments vanish and it is as if nothing was there, even the file size changes? and second when you go to attach somthing you can browse to it but it will not allow you to put it in, but if you type in the path to the attachment it works ok. so any one understand what i said and have you got any ideads????????/
