Attachments take up to 5-10 minutes to load

Hi,

Currently doing a deploy and upgrading users to W2k with notes 4.6, NAV Corp 7.5 and Office 2k. Have two users who are reporting that when they try to open an attachment it takes ages to load. This is regardless of file type or size. Have other users who are reporting that opening Word docs only is doing the same thing.

Any ideas?!

We have had similar problems within our company. When our users login they pull through a mandatory profile. If we delete this profile and the index.dat file contained within word opens normally....for a bit!.. If anyone has a more permanent solution then I am all ears.

Thanks for the feedback, but unfortunately our users have individual profiles... painful task to delete them all

are the files just as slow to open if the files are first detached and then opened?

Figured out what the problem was. The Templates folder was
pointing to a network drive which is a total bottle neck in itself.
