Attachments in Outlook

Opening word attachments directly from an e-mail when Word is not already open. I get the error message "The system cannot find the file specified".

Is it only Word attachments - or any attachment? As I mentioned in the other thread thread68-448627, I suspect a messed up temp environment variable. If you advise you operating system, someone may be able to shed some light.

It is only with word attachments.

Try this
Start - Run
winword /unregserver

Open up word (blank doc)

Start - Run
winword /regserver

The temps are not messed up because the user only gets the message when it attempts to open it if word is not open. If word is already opened on there system they can open attachments without any problems.
