attachment to mail from command line

Hello everyone
I am heaving problem, to send a attachment file from command line using mail.
if can send mail by using:
% mail usrname
but how can i send a attachment file using mail.

look for mpack on the web ... it seems to work great for me ...

that is if you want to work from the prompt ... if you don't most mail tools will allow mimencoded attachments ...
