Can I attach two version 1's or units with different software versions?
What all do I need?

Trotski,
You said "NO". Does this mean I can't connect two 1232-1 ksu's or that I can not connect two KSU's with different software versions?

-4 and above way better no sync problems!! -2 and above
for dual ksu's -1s had slower dsp

hey by the way how do you get 56 singleline sets with no message waiting lights and a console and a dss on a 48 port system?

my rule of thumb is can a give my client the ability to do
a 100 percent expansion just by adding cards to his existing equipment?

that is not true you can actually use a -2,3,4 as a slave but you are asking for trouble.

why look for trouble update so they are the the version

hey my days of doing dual cabs is over if I had a 56 room hotel i'dd do the rigthing I would take his 12x in trade

OK, cw3, so what panasonic option would you follow? This is an old hotel, they have a mitel super switch that is dying and have a limited budget. No hotel features, no voice mail, no caller id, just 56 analog lines for rooms and two switch boards.
