Does anyone know the procedure for attaching my laptop to a NAM 4.1.5 using norstar Voice Mail Manager 4.0. Need to clean up all the old mail boxes. Thank You

Thanks Bob

Any chance you know how to connect using the NIC card on the NAM and not the serial port

You'd need to know the IP address assigned to the NIC and assign yourself an address in the same subnet. I believe the NIC was for use when you're running a contact center such as Prelude or Cinphony. You would use the NIC for the IPview.

The NAM IP Address is 192.168.110.10 and I am assigning my laptop 192.168.110.11, but it will not connect

I don't believe the NAM has IIS so I'm not sure you could ever use a browser to configure. I think you'll need to use f983 and delete the hard way. I've only used the NIC for connecting a wall board when running contact center on the NAM.

The nic can be used w/ nvm mgr to make programming changes just like the Callpilot.

Yes, I have used it to change the COS and clean up old mail boxes.

I’m using a crossover network cable, on my laptop I’m configuring the IP 192.168.110.11 with a subnet 255.255.255.0. I launch Voice Mail Manager 4.0, 192.168.110.10 and enter a admin password 102****, But sorry to say it wont connect.

I should have tried pinging 192.168.110.10 on the NAM, so I will try that on Monday.

Thanks to everyone that helped

Thanks, Dasheen. Even geeks never get to old to learn. I'll give that a try when I get some lab time. Have a star.
