trying to create a simple intranet running over express and need to find a way to attach files to internal messages bearing in mind the stripped out tags available in express.

any ideas? we are trying avoid having to go outside the cf environment i.e. cgi/java/perl etc. but if that is the only way then roll on notepad.......

I don't have a reference handy on this so can you post which tags you don't have?

You get very little with cf express and there seems no way around it except to use another language :(

I had the same problem so i used php to do the file handling stuff and it works fine and is completely transparent to the user ( if were my choice however i would use only php, but it aint).

p.s. tags available in cfexpress 4.5

CFABORT
CFAPPLICATION
CFBREAK
CFCOOKIE
CFIF CFELSEIF CFELSE
CFINCLUDE
CFINSERT
CFLOCATION
CFLOOP
CFOUTPUT
CFPARAM
CFQUERY
CFSET
CFSETTING
CFSWITCH CFCASE CFDEFAULTCASE
CFUPDATE

annoying note:
cfapplication (in express) does not allow session variables so you have to use client variables instead.
