attaching Exchange mailbox

Hi

This is strange... I am using a 2000 Domain controller as BE server to backup an Exchange Server (mailbox). Everything works fine. Now I want to have a dedicated BE server, so I setup one using the same software (that's BE 8.6), I am using the same user to attach Exchange mailbox, it doesn't work anymore. It asks me to enter a mailbox name, i entered, but it tells me "Backup Exec could not attach this exchange server". I go back and tried on the old server, works fine. So, it is not about the user.

Could someone help.

I do not have the tape library hooked up to the new server, but i don't think it matters

whatup? Did you push the OFM(Open File Manager), the remote agent, and the Exchange agents out from the new Server? Did you make the backup account a member of the admin group on the new server? This account should have all rights on the network. Let me know if you have done these things, and if so, give me a scream back.
