Hie,
I am trying to a attach a composite (many datawindows)report to a mail session using .....
dw_visual.SaveAs "C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\DAILY_REPORT.PSR",PSReport!, FALSE)

...kind of syntax in PowerBuilder .
The format of the report here is not really a problem but I would prefer viewing it in Excel or Explorer(Html) or even PSR.
The 'SAVE AS' options given in Powerbuilder dont seem to work except PSR which I dont want to use 'coz it may not necessarily be the attachement opener. HELP !!

Hi,

PB will sensibly export a composite datawindow when you use a
Code:
SaveAs
type of
Code:
PSReport!
. There are a number of PSR viewers available as freeware.

See the usage notes in the PB help on
Code:
SaveAs

Cheers.

Hi Kriss!

I suggest you use an OLE object that connects to Excel. It is possible to "mimic" and excel macro in powerbuilder so that the formatting is undertaken in powerbuilder. The result is a well formatted report that was generated from raw data but using macros steps rewritten in powerbuilder.
