Attach Error

Anyone ever get this when attaching an MDF?

The header for file 'E:\abc.MDF' is not a valid database file header. The FILE SIZE property is incorrect.

is is corrupt? can I fix?

Had you properly detached it from your original server ?
Ar eyou copying it to the same location as the original server ? Have a look at the BOL on attach/detach.

It was taken off a failed hard disk.

So I assume it is bad data, i was just hoping someone had additional ideas.

Dont you have backups of the database ? I guess if it was retrieved from a bad disk, its difficult to get back.

The latest backups were on the disk too. They also throw an error.
