ATM trunk card

Good Morning

We have an ip office 500 v1 5.0(26) and our client is requesting the 5th ATM trunk port. Currently he has a digital station 8 card with an ATM daughter card installed, a digital 8 card and a VCM 32 card.

We are trying to install an ATM daughter card so that our client has 4 more trunk ports but, respectively on which card we install the daughter card, a red led light up on number 9 on the master card and the master card in question becomes as "unknown" in the control unit from the manager. This is the 3rd card we are trying.

Any idea? are there any limitations on these systems?

The newer batch of cards require newer system firmware to be recognised, I think to at least the later versions of R7, so you may as well go up to 8/8.1

Good Morning

We tried to upgrade the ip500 from r5 to release 8 and so we bought an essential licence for our client. After we installed the licence and upgraded the system, the trunk card showed in the manager, but on all phone appeared ' No licence available' and we where forced to downgrade back to r5.

Do we need any additional licences for this upgrade please?

No need to be on R5, just put it on the latest R7 until you get the licence, will still work

Cheers pmcook - wont work on r7 amriddle01 as i tried it - not even on r6.
