ATM - Nortel's BLN/BCN Routers

Hi, All

New to ATM, don't know much about it - and just want to know if it is possible to setup BLN/BCN routers bakc-to-back to test ATM interface cards and learn more about ATM technology.

Can I just setup two routers without ATM switch, or I need one? Maybe one router can work as ATM switch (like in FR back-to-back operations)?

We have connected BLNs back to back in our lab. Just transpose trnsmt and rcv.

So it is enough to connect optical patchcord correctly transposing RT to TX and thats should be all what I need to be ready to route ATM traffic?

Can anyone tell me what is the default password for Nortel's BLN. I thougt it was Manager. But this didn't work.

Hi,

There is no backdoor/default password on Nortel's BLN. Look at nortel's faq on their web pages, there is procedure how to clear password.
