Hey all,

I just bought an Asus A7N8x Deluxe, and I've owned an ATI Radeon 8500 64mb for several months now.

The motherboard I had installed previously was a Gigabyte Board, and all my ATI settings, after many updates, were all set, and everything worked fine.

Now that I have moved this ATI card into my new Asus mobo, I am having issues:
- No ATI specific options in the display properties (WinXPPro), such as;
- No option to display to 2 monitors
- No extra color scheme manager specific
- etc...

I have had difficulties with the ATI All-In-Wonder and several types of Asus motherbaords in the past. Is there and option that I need to check in the BIOS? If so, which one(s)?

This could also cause conflict, the new chipset by nVidia is on this mobo. Not sure.

Thanks for all the help, in advance.

PEACE

If you have a onboard video card then you should go in the BIOS by pressing "del" or "F8" while the PC is booting.
Here you'll find an option "Onboard video". Make sure this option is disabled. Otherwise your machine will use this onboard video card. Also make sure the option "P&P OS" is enabled.

Good luck.

Hi,

No, in Windows XP, I see my video card properly, I cannot see my ATI settings though. There is no onboard video card.

Thanks

Install the ATI control-panel. That will correct the problem you are having.

Hey Shinji257,

Thanks man. A couple hours after having posted my messages on forums, I found the Control Panel drivers, which I didn't see previously...

Thanks man
