I got a Sapphire Radeon 9200 Se atlantis video card. Monitor supports are S-video,VGA and DVI outputs. Due to moving into new apartment there is no space for the computer setup I had. I want to hook my CPU to the 32" TV I was wondering if I can hook the S-Video cable to the card and then to the TV? The card I bought was from a friend and only have the setup disk and card with no manual. Is there a way to hook up the sound to the TV also or do I have to use the desktop speakers? Any answers can be sent to vt8ball@yahoo.com Thank you for the help

Hey Bnkrpt,

You have a couple of things that you'll need to do before you can hook your computer up to your tv.

1. Does your TV has an s-video connection? If not you'll need to get an s-video to RCA cable adapter. Something like this -> 2. Install your video card and make sure that it is working properly.
3. Now that your computer is hooked up to your TV you will have to configure your video card to send information through the s-video port. It will be off by default. To do this in windows go Start->Settings->Control Panel->Display->Settings tab->Advanced button Once you have navigated here you will find a tab that says something similar to "Display" or "Output" based on the ATI software. Under this display tab you will find power buttons and options for your monitor and tv. Hit the power button next to the tv and click ok through all of the windows we have previously advanced through. Once done you should now have your computer displayed on your tv. You may have to adjust the picture though and ATI provides options for this under the advanced section mentioned above.
4. Now for your speakers. You don't have to use the system speakers if you buy another cable adapter. The cable is called an RCA splitter and it will have a plug on one end the same as your computer speakers and the other end will have two plugs for your tv, left and right speakers respectively.

Hope this helps
