Hi folks,
I'm trying to set up an auto attendant (Definity Audix 3.2) on my switch (G3si) and it's not having any of it. I've changed the subscriber type, set up the "buttons", administered the transfer dial plan, set the allow transfer flag to Y, etc. Only trying to transfer internally. dialing the vdn that points at it the Audix says: Atendant Service not avaiable - please try again later. Please disconnect."
Highly frustrating - any views?
Cheers

Im not quite sure exactly what you are trying to do. Are you trying to send incoming calls directly to an auto attendant?

I assume you are using a route to step in your vector. Try using a messaging step.

The number called (LDN, DNIS, EXT) etc need to have a voice mail box assigned.

Thanks

Chris

Yup, it has a voicemail box assigned - external calls to go there in night service. I'm using a messaging step. As the message i always get says Attendant not available I'm guessing it's reaching the subscriber but the auto-attendant is not working as such.

Have you recorded all your greetings for each of the auto-attendant steps? The nice Audix lady gives the error you are describing if the greetings are not recorded. I'm not sure on your version, but try a "display auto-attend-routing menu-tree" command for the primary box.

Yup, always the simplest thing.... Many thanks, works like a charm now.

In order for the Auto attd to function you need to record the greeting with the options and the third page on the AA form needs to be administered.
Hope this helps :)
