treat the programming for the ATA DN the same as any other extension. It is just a matter of programming the ext number with the lines that you want to ring it.
hrmm any further info than that, i was just playing with it again and lookin at the DN
somehow now it seems i have assigned a new DN to my prime set here in my office which was the DN of the ATA2. Now the ATA2 is on my office DN, a bit of a switchero, but if i try to intercom to the ATA2 it rings a different extension in the system. Any thoughts?
I thought i had this all figured out but apparently not.
Should the programming you are talking about be in the configuration or the admin and where abouts if you dont mind sharing
thanks again
line programming is under config
to determine the DN number of the ATA, dial another extension from the ATA, and look at the display of the phone that is ringing.
hrmm, still not working quite right.
prime set is in my office (21) ATA2 is (26)
if i try to intercom 26 it will display "calling cordless" and then it goes to Cordless>bedroom, bedroom being (23) and rings the bedroom line. I have the cordless on the ATA2 set to prime line I/C, ringing line 01, and set the same on the other settings same as other DN's. So i need to resolve the ringing at another extension and why the cordless wont ring when there is an incoming call.
sounds like the cordless is forwarded. This must have been done by you inadvertently either from the cordless, or while you were fumbling around in programming.
The cordless will not ring as long as it is forwarded, so you need to determine why it is forwarding, and remove it...
If you don’t know where to look for the forward settings you should call a vendor.
