Can you make an ATA the same extension as a digital phone on another port.

You can make the ATA ext. the "primary" ext. for that user and then put an answer dn on the digital set for that user. This is great for users who want a cordless phone. Everybody is told the cordless ext. # then with ans. dn. both will ring.

You can put the digital set local and the analog set local in a hunt group and call the hunt group number and both sets will ring.

We are using ATA2 adapter as an regular extension. Then send the analog output to a SIP device, which talk to another SIP device over Internet, so the actual phone is
actually 10 miles away, but works as an extension. But before going to SIP device, analog phone connected to the ATA2 adapter can get features and transfer calls by flash*70
With SIP carry the extension to 10 miles away, flash*70 does not work. But talk over the phone people don't know the other person is actually 10 miles away....

There's a third party device called a Linx ATA that allows a digital phone and an analog device to share the same station jack. The analog device works on the B2 channel, so it would not be the same DN as the telephone.
