My customer(Broadcasting studio) has a Mics 6.1 MR release software c/w Call Pilot 2.1 (40 mailboxes). His coe (12 line analog set) has 3 lines for contests calls into the studio, separate from the Norstar system. The customer wants to be able to transfer a call from coe to the Norstar. I provided him with an ATA2 to give them a Norstar i/c on Line 12 of their analog set.
They conference the call(using coe) with the I/c (line 12) and dial the I/c of the internal Norstar set. After the external caller and the internal Norstar party hang up, the Line 12 on the coe stays lit unless you go on it and hang up manually.Could this be a disconnect supervision problem on the coe or can I do something different?????

ata has no disconnect supervision will hang after call for quite awhile before usable again

I don't mean to stick my nose in here but...

I have three ATA's (2 ATA, and 1 ATA2) on my system, a MICS R1T1, ancient I know, running fax machines and I don't recall a single instance where I have had a line 'hung' up and had to manually release the line. I have a program the lines so they appear on my phone and can audibly here the fax machine chime for when it sucessfully sends or has an error for faxes. I don't know if it has something to do with my telco provider (Allstream Canada, formerly AT&T) but that's just my 2 cents.

your not butting nose in at all... ata,s and asm's on the norstar do not support disconnect supervision...newest version on bcm was supposed to but think its still an issue... its a fact... i also have customers that never complain...doesnt mean it never happens
