Do anyone know how we can add an create an access button for messages so a user can check his Unity voicemail using an analog phone which is connected to ATA 186 (SCCP)?

I know we can dial the voicemail pilot # to access but is it possible to create a shortcut key on analog phone which points towards the voicemail pilot?

If possible, then how?

Thanks

I don't know what kind of analog phone we're talking about, but don't most phones have "speed dial" or "memory" buttons on them? You could just set one of those to dial your voicemail pilot number. That's the easiest solution.

How many digits is that pilot number anyway?

Hi Bacho6..

the pilot # was just 7 digit long.
I was working in a lab environment.
Thanks for your help...

OK, since it is 7 digits, you could also create a translation pattern that's shorter, maybe 2 to 4 digits long. You could make a 1-digit translation pattern as well, say "0", but that may be more headache than it's worth. It would only work IF "0" is not already used by the operator and "9" is used for external calls. But something like "55" may be better, assuming you don't have any real extensions starting with "55" :) Good luck.

Hi Bach,

Thanks a lot. I think that will work for me.
