We have an IPO running 5.18 and we have problems with credit card machines/model dialing out (faxes work fine). We also have a problem with DTMF tones when callers try to reach a remote access menu. It seems like the DTMF tones just stop being transmitted to the PRI.

Has anyone seen anything like this? The IAD is a Cisco box.

Thanks!

Yes, TDS Metrocom uses the same IADs, and have had many problems.

Have them try different codecs. Tds had to try a few on one job before they found something that works.

Same problems as missing DTMF tones?

I am surprized you are not having issues with the Faxes as well. The "Flex/Dynamic/Integrated" circuits give faxes and modems many issues. The issue with some is that you have to change the noise and codecs for everything which can slow data down. Ask them if they can just install a quad FXO (POTs) card. That helps from time to time.

What type of phones are you using? if they are digital did you upgrade the mods to 3.2.999??

Hey Kyle F:

Here's a star for clarity.

Those circuits make money for the provider and smote faxes and modems.

They would be fine if the providers would own up to their deficiencies and install FXO cards...
