Hi all,

I have a system with AMD K6-2 500,ASUS P5 A-B motherboard, 384 MB RAM,3dfx voodoo 3 3000 AGP card ....

The system works perfectly till i install the
voodoo drivers supplied with the card ....

Once i install the drivers the system starts
to freeze after 2-3 minutes of any activity ...

uninstalling the drivers restores stability but
it works only in 16 color VGA mode ....

The system works perfectly on linux ...

can anyone help me solve this problem ...??

Thanks in advance ....

Go onto Asus' website and there is an updated Ali AGP driver for that motherboard. Give that a try first.

Well, you could post more information about your system.

What OS are you trying this with ?

> Last: It is very possible that you didn't get a clean install........... of the drivers.
Did you also install a newer DirectX version, like 7 or 8.1 ???

( Hopefully also, you got the last available update for that VOODOO card,,,,,, and just didn't load what was on the CD-ROM)

It maybe, that that old ALI chipset and the Voodoo don't work together. Nvidia. Nvidia.

Thx guys for the help i did a clean install of winme
,with the latest Ali AGP Drivers from ASUS site, updated Directx to 8.1 and installed voodoo drivers from this site

and it has worked out ...

cheers
