Is there a way to associate file types to Zenworks applications?

For example, if a user double-clicks a Word document, is there a way to get a NAL "Word" application object to run instead of the winword.exe program?

To get the right syntax open a command window and type:

"C:\Program Files\Novell\Zenworks\NALWIN32.EXE" /?

You should get a window that shows the switches you can use with NalWin32. Once you have the proper syntax just incorporate it into the filetype.

The easiest way to edit the word filetype is to use the windows gui thing. Open an explorer window then goto "tools" > "folder opetions." Then click on filetypes. Locate the word doc filetype (there is more than one so you may have to play some on a test machine)

I don't know for sure if it will work but you can give it a try... Love to know if you figure it out.
