if i have acommand button on a form which links to further details relating to the original form - hw do i associate these two forms. obviously i only want the information relevant to the original record. the original form already has a subform , as far as i know (which is not a lot) you can only have one sub form.

getting a bit lost with this one, all help GREATLY appreciated.

TIA

Good news...you can have more than one subform on a form. As a matter of fact, your subform can itself have a subform.

Why don't you try to add another subform and post with any problems you have. We are all glad to help.

Kathryn

Kathryn

That is indeed good news and will also teach me to make absolute statements on subjects i know little about:)

the problem i have is that i have one primary customer details table with 5 sub tables for information that only get filed in if the customer takes a particular product.

additionally one of the sub table/forms will have a further sub table/mform with payment details. (you may have seen my earlier post about totalling fields in the same table)

this is my first project you guys have been fantastic in helping me so far.

alex

AlexUK,
i think it's better to create a TabControl and put each subform in a page, that will make it easy to show up all the details you want to show...

i hope that will help, and let me know
Mohamed Aly
samara_79@hotmail.com
