Assisted Transfer does not stop ringing if caller gives up

As the subject, I have set up an Assisted Transfer in order to get the group name showing up on the group of phones who should answer this type of call. If the caller hangs up, the group continues to ring for 30 seconds or so, and the Call Status program shows a call from RAS X.XX to the group. If the call is answered fater the call is hung up, the receiver

Why is it doing this?

On you "Assisted Transfer" in VMPro, the 30 sec timeout on the touch tone tab is why it continues to ring 30 seconds. If the caller is hanging up before it is answer; the call should go ahead and disconnect.

Also, did you put a "Leave Mail" action with the assisted transfer? Exp. Next result would transfer to extension and No Answer or Busy result would go to the "Leave Mail" action
 
Millsey, did you resolve this issue? My problem is similar, but the call keeps ringing and never drops. Same RAS X.XX and assisted transfer.

We use this method to ring a bell in a warehouse to let people know that a call needs to be answered if it is not answered the first time through a queue.

We are using 3.0(59) I believe on an IPO 406.

Sorry we never got to the bottom of it, we upgraded from 2.1.27 to 3.0DT whatever and are now on 3.0.59DT

I am having this exact problem in 3.0.59, we had one call that rang for 226,000 seconds over the weekend because the caller hung up during an assisted transfer. The assisted transfer timeout is set to 15 seconds. It's destroying our credibility with our users. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
 
must be a bug in 3.0.59 I have a customer who does a assisted transfer call to a cell phone. If the calling party hangs up before the call is answered The RAS call wont hang up . Its seems to stop ringing the cell phone after a while but the call still appears on the call status window. Its appears that the call is supervised and we use BRA's

There is a private build for this problem, we had the same issue and this build sorted it out. Contact your support team and they should sort the bin file out for you.
 
Hey, assisted transfer is fully broken since 2.1.
Give it up and don't use it until Avaya says it is fixed.
