I have configured a few SIP trunks for AVAYA IPO 500 without any real issues. We took over an Avaya system for a new client and he decided to go SIP.
I have configured the SIP trunks but am unable to register. I am also not seeing any registration attempts from the IPO.
IPO System Status shows SIP trunk unregistered. When I ping my registration server from System Status I get 3 packets sent 3 packets lost.
I would guess their is a firewall rule somewhere blocking this traffic. However my Firewall is set up to allow all traffic in and out to my registration server.
If I ping from a PC, I get a reply back form my registration server.
There is a Firewall Profile set up labeled Internet01

Any ideas would be of valuable help.

Thank you,

I don't normally set up an IP route to the Provider. So to answer your question, I do not have one configured.

Then you've always followed someone else in that's configured a catchall route with the sites gateway in or used DHCP client. By default the IP Office does not know the sites router address so cannot access the web/outside its own subnet :)

Thanks amriddle and Okkie26. I will create an IP route to my registration server and test.

IP Route did it. Can't thank you guys enough for taking some time to help me out. Much appreciated. Have a great holiday :)
