Hello all,

I need to assign PO's to a specific software. So if I wanted to do a query on a specific PO, I can and I will see all the software bought from that PO. Even if I did a query on, let's say, Acrobat. I would like the query to list the PO also if it has one. Is this possible?

We work with PO's alot and this function is really needed.

Thanks.

A way to do it (might not be the best way) is to create a folder on each PC called POs. For each software title create a file called Acrobat<User/Computer><P.O.#>.po#, Office2K<User/Computer><P.O.#>.po#, etc. Now you can do a software inventory on *.po# in SMS 2003.

This sounds like a good candidate for MIFs, but I don't know enough about them.
